Making electricity from chemicals is based on the same scientific principles on which all modern batteries work. You insert copper and zinc electrodes in an acidic liquid and produce some electricity from the chemical reaction between your electrodes and electrolyte.
This project will help students to learn about producing electrical energy using chemical energy.

The electricity produced in this way will be shown by a volt meter that is included in your kit.

As a separate option, you can also choose to upgrade your volt meter from the standard volt meter to a more advanced desktop multitester.  The more advanced, AMM360, is a desktop analog multitester for measuring DC Volt, AC Volt, DC Current and Resistance. AMM360 can be used as a very sensitive galvanometer and can show as low as 0.01 DC voltage. AMM360 can also be used to test transistors and diodes. This option is perfect if you have a need for the analog multitester outside of this project or for future experiments as it is more advanced, more accurate and higher quality. Keywords: KITELEC
